Hello and thanks for taking the time to visit BJ's Bass Wanker Lures online!

My name is BJ Smith and thank you for visiting Bass Wanker Lures. I just wanted to take a few lines to introduce myself. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in private practice in Killeen, Texas. I am also a former Army Officer and a life-long avid bass fisherman.

I have been fishing tournaments from California to the Carolinas since 1978. After leaving the military in 1992, I settled down in Central Texas and am here to stay. I spend many hours at my practice, spend time with the family, and occasionally I even get to fish.

I repair, refurbish, and paint crankbaits in my spare time on nights and weekends. I use only the finest quality paints, materials, and airbrushes available. Each Wanker is repaired, prepped, painted, and finished by myself. This process can sometimes become a 15 stage operation per bait. It is a labor of love and something I thoroughly enjoy. My goals are to make fishermen happy and provide them with fish catching baits that will last for years to come.

Every job for every fisherman is important so I work on a first come – first served basis. I do not do “rush jobs.” If you need your bait back in a hurry, I am not the man for you. If you want a beautiful fish catching bait that lasts, feel free to email or call anytime. Thank you.

My business process is simple - you call or email me and let me know what you want, send me whatever hard bait you would like customized and tell me what you would like and I will complete it and return it to you. All for a nominal fee which helps justify my fishing habit..
